Pet-friendly places

Florida is a pet-friendly state with numerous destinations and activities for fur-ever friends. The Sunshine State is home to many dog-friendly beaches, parks, and hotels. Dog owners can enjoy paddleboarding with their pets through Fort Lauderdale's canals, staying at dog-friendly luxury hotels in West Palm Beach, and visiting the BrewHound Dog Park + Bar in Jacksonville. Additionally, there are several dog-friendly beaches along the coastline of Florida, including Atlantic Beach, Jacksonville Beach, Crescent Beach, and Dog Beach in Northern Florida, and Smyrna Dunes Park, Davis Islands Dog Beach, and Fort De Soto Dog Beach in Central Florida. It's important to do research to ensure that dogs are allowed and to note any requirements such as vaccinations or leash laws.

Florida is also home to several pet-friendly parks that offer visitors the chance to explore nature with their beloved pets. The National Key Deer Refuge is a dog-friendly park established in 1957 to protect and preserve Key Deer as well as several endangered species. Dogs must be kept on a leash and are not allowed on the sandy beaches, but they are welcome on the nature trails. Another pet-friendly park is the Fountain of Youth Archeological Park in St. Augustine. Dogs are allowed on a leash and must be well-behaved. The park offers visitors a chance to learn about the history of Florida while exploring the beautiful grounds with their pets.

Finally, Florida also boasts several pet-friendly hotels that cater to the needs of both pets and their owners. Many luxury hotels in West Palm Beach, such as The Breakers, allow pets and offer amenities such as pet beds and food bowls. The Kimpton Hotel Palomar in Miami Beach also welcomes pets and offers a pet-friendly happy hour with complimentary wine and treats for pets. It's important to note that some hotels may have restrictions on the size or number of pets allowed, so it's important to check with the hotel beforehand.
